Oh I love how companies make things "salted" to brand information technology seem fancy. Don't go me wrong, I defended this pick on the Nosh Evidence in hopes that information technology's meant to make the pecans stand out a bit more. I'm ok with it equally long as it serves a truthful purpose and is not just a marketing gimmick.

Ok, this review is going to exist a bit of a back and along on a few points, so concord on. I get the proper name now. I assume that they are going for a truffle flavour overall, then for whatever reason it'south going to be crazy (the kerfuffle role).

The craziness comes from the fact that this pint is chuck full of chips and pecans. Mayhap every pint won't be that way, just this ane is. It feels like you go a couple of each on every spoonful, and my spoonfuls aren't exactly crazy large.
I don't actually get the truffle part. Are salted truffles a large thing somewhere? Sure there is plenty of texture here, just it's not a candy like texture, information technology'due south much more virtually crunchy. Maybe the swirl didn't striking me as thick as they intended it to, simply I don't get a truffle vibe, though perchance I don't consume enough fancy candy. Who knows.
I recollect the salt of the salty swirl is the worst part of this pint really. Instead of adding to the flavor profile, I recollect information technology's pulling me out of the moment. Information technology just doesn't fit right. I was just kind of so-so going through this pint and I was going to put it away, merely I kept stealing bites and I realized the salty aspect had died downward for a niggling scrap. Some other puddle of swirl popped upwardly, I took a bite, and so I was done, I didn't demand to go along going.
I know a lot of people where down on this flavor but I tried to be positive. Having finished my commencement sampling, I was definitely a little too optimistic. I get that they wanted the salty swirl to set this apart, to stop information technology from being every other vanilla with a fudge swirl, but it backfires. It'due south not a huge backfire, but I know it'due south enough to stop me from buying this 1 once again. It will audio cliché, but they should accept gone with a caramel swirl. The caramel would accept bridged the gap between the fudge chips and the pecans in a way that the chocolate can't.
On Second Scoop: Upward until the final seize with teeth, I was enjoying this more than I did the first fourth dimension. The last seize with teeth simply hit me funny, but kind of reinforced a random notion I had. I did not allow the ice cream cook at all this fourth dimension, I ate it straight from the freezer. The swirl was still a solid, fudge-like substance equally opposed to the more pool similar substance I was downing on Fri. I don't know if that helped go on things in bank check a scrap improve or if I was simply more ready for the flavor this time. It wasn't until that last bite that I had flashbacks to the other mean solar day. Look, there's no denying that the plentiful texture provided past all the pecans and fudge $.25 is fun and enjoyable. It'southward the overall flavor profile that has me at a loss. As with many products on this site, this one will come down to personal preference.
